Mycle is walking across America again in 2017! In honor of our friend Bob Miller, Mycle has given this walk a name; Mycles’s Miller Miles Walk! He has also broadened the charities he’s walking for. In honor of the men and women who sacrifice so much for ou freedom, Mycle is walking for the Wounded Warriors and the Brain Injury Association of America. Please read their mission statements below. As a four-time stroke survivor, he is on the mission to spread hope to those in recovery and more importantly, assist in stroke prevention and preventing brain injury and to inspire people to “Get Off the Couch! and Walk To Your Mailbox Today…Walk Past Your Mailbox Tomorrow!”
Mycle visits all major hospitals along the route and meet directly with recent stroke survivors. He helps to inspire them to keep going; there is Life After Stroke and brain injury!! We need your help to ensure this walk will finish. Please donate now.
Mycle walks, with just the assistance of a cane, from city to city visiting stroke survivors at hospitals throughout the country. He shows them there is life after stroke, and when you keep up with your recovery exercises, like walking, your life will get better. He has walked over 7,000 miles to help inspire others who will, in turn, inspire others! Check out our INSPIRATION PAGE for more stories.
Wounded Warrior Project Mission Statement
The Wounded Warrior Project serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families. On that date, America watched in horror as approximately 3,000 people died including hundreds of firefighters and rescue workers. Many warriors note a sense of duty to volunteer for the military following these tragic events.
