Imagine the entire population of San Francisco having a stroke simultaneously. Unfortunately, that’s about how many people fall victim to stroke each year – about 800,000. It’s the leading cause of disability and the third leading cause of death. Luckily, we have Mycle Brandy; a motivated man who’s out to change all of this.
Mycle Brandy is walking across America to raise awareness for early signs of stroke. As a four-time stroke survivor, he is on the mission to spread hope to those in recovery and more importantly, assist in stroke prevention: to get moving, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and reduce the risk of stroke. Be sure to check out the EARLY WARNING SIGNS and spread the word!
The mission method.
We as a species are victims of our own ignorance. We forget that there are easy, natural ways to stay healthy. The main causes of stroke are smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and diabetes. With the exception of smoking, these risk factors can be reduced and regulated by simple exercise.
The mission movement.
He walks to honor those who can’t. He walks to manifest hope. There is life after stroke. It’s about a feat against all odds—triumph over tribulation: to rise, make a stand, and take the steps towards a better future for our children and ourselves. It’s time to get off the couch, stay healthy, and start living. This is the time. This is the mission movement.
